In what has become known as the "Golden Age" of Pasadena architecture, there were a few luminary
architects. One of the brightest was Myron Hunt whose work is prolific in Pasadena and throughout
Southern California. Just a few of the more than 200 structures he designed include: The Rose Bowl,
Huntington Estate and Library, Caltech, Occidental and Pomona College Campuses, Pasadena
Public Library, and the Hollywood Bowl Amphitheater.
One of Hunt's earliest designs is his private
residence in Pasadena at 200 North Grand Avenue, an early Arts and Crafts masterpiece where Hunt
and his family resided from 1905 to 1957. Artfully preserved, yet carefully updated for today 's living,
The Myron Hunt House is a Pasadena Landmark home. |
